Solutions 4. future: MITUTOYO at the quality management trade fair CONTROL in Stuttgart
Investment into quality assurance measures means investing into the company’s success – and as a consequence – the company’s future. This reflects in the MITUTOYO motto for CONTROL: “Solutions 4. future”. As one of the leading manufacturers of precision measuring instruments will display their portfolio of top-quality measuring devices in hall 7, number 7401, from precision calipers to high-end vision measuring systems, form and surface roughness testers as well as state-of-the-art CNC coordinate measuring machines and in-line applications.
It goes without saying that the Japanese metrology specialists display a great number of new products at the world-leading fair. The latest novelty is an all-new laser scanner for coordinate measuring machines by name of SurfaceMeasure 201FS. As opposed to other types of the MITUTOYO SurfaceMeasure line-up, the SM201FS type adopts the highly advanced flying spot technology that makes for an outstanding accuracy.
The new form measuring instrument Formtracer Extreme SV-C4500CNC Hybrid Type 1 featuring three separate, exchangeable drive units boasts the functionality of three individual, fully CNC instruments, combined in a single system. It is equipped with a surface roughness detector, a contour detector and a confocal chromatic point sensor (CPS) employing axial chromatic aberration, thus offering contact and non-contact measuring opportunity.
The new-generation Rockwell hardness tester HR-500 offers a wealth of functionality and additional ease of use. The test force can be chosen up to 187,5 kg, with motorised and sensor-controlled application. Up to ten test procedures can be pre-configured and saved for ultra-quick execution by one touch of a button.
The CONTROL fair also sees the revolutionary, new MITUTOYO TAG Lens boasting an incredible 70 kHz of variable frequency of focal length. It does not take a mechanical movement to control the focal distance. Piezo signals trigger the ultra-fast adaptations of focus. It offers a 40x larger distance of focus than standard lenses.
A new variant of the ground-breaking Quick Image vision measuring system featuring a motorised stage is introduced at the CONTROL show. The brand-new QIPAK 6.1 software incorporates a stitching function. For a workpieces larger than the field of view, several images are acquired while moving the stage. By stitching the images the software makes for a vastly enlarged area of inspection at the same resolution.
The new CNC roundform and cylindricity tester Roundtest RA-6000CNC is designed for measuring very large and heavy workpieces at high accuracy – a roundness/cylindricity measuring system developed to combine world-class accuracy with high maneuverability and analytical capability.
