Among the Best – qualified by Mitutoyo
With the impressing score of 96 out of 100 points Alexandra Schulte of Mitutoyo in Neuss has passed the final exam of her apprenticeship as a wholesaler and foreign trader. Themed “One of the Best”, the 21 year old was honoured and awarded a certificate by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Mittlerer Niederrhein in early October.
An outstanding success – not only for the new trader but also for Mitutoyo as an approved training company. „I have experienced a lot of care and support during my apprenticeship and in the phase of examinations”, Schulte praises her company environment. „For Mitutoyo an apprentice is not only cheap labour but a fully-fledged young colleague”, Achim Jülicher explains. He is part of the human resources department and in charge of supervising the company’s apprentices. „A top result that we are truly proud of”, says Jülicher.
The score is all the more impressing in the light of the fact that Schulte’s apprenticeship term was reduced by a full year. Thus, she has internalised all content of her apprenticeship in the departments of Mitutoyo’s European headquarter and the German subsidiary in no more than two years. The final examination at IHK consisted of an application-oriented oral part and three written exams.
The Mitutoyo apprentices’ scores prove that not only the products and services but also the staff’s qualification and know-how is on the highest level. The young colleague has been taken over and works for the company’s financial accounting department now.
Lately, more young people have joined Mitutoyo for their apprenticeship. Currently, the firm educates two tradespeople, two mechatronics and one qualified IT specialist. Consequently, in the long run the company not only creates the own ideal staff situation but also contributes to society and job market.
