Impressing appearance: Mitutoyo at Control 2018
This year’s Control show (Stuttgart/Germany) from April 24-27, was a very special one for Mitutoyo. In 2018 the marque celebrates its 50th anniversary on the European market. This – of course – showed in the brand’s booth design: Grown to 660 sqm, it featured an impressing full-width, 85 sqm LED screen showing devices and applications made by Mitutoyo. In the very center, the most precious piece on the booth found its place: the first micrometer made by company founder Yehan Numata in 1936.
So the Mitutoyo booth in hall 7 counted amongst the most impressing and visitor-attracting ones. What is feasible already today using the Internet of Things (IoT) was shown by two robot cells prominently placed at the entrance of the booth. The brand-new multi-sensor vision measuring machine MiScan Vision System and the likewise new wireless data transmission system U-Wave aroused a lot of interest among the visitors. The new pallet receiver system significantly speeds up measuring on coordinate measuring machines as well as on form and vision measuring devices.
The Mitutoyo show stage alternatingly saw presentations on the top-performance Mitutoyo software suites MeasurLink and MiCAT Planner. Very competent visitors and a large number of journalists at the press conferences are encouraging facts for Mitutoyo’s anniversary year and all those to follow.
