What is WorldSkills?

The WorldSkills competition is the biggest vocational education and skills event in the world. Participants are selected from competitions held in over 70 WorldSkills’ member countries and regions and represent the best of their peers in more than 45 skills.

Mitutoyo, being one of the lead sponsors and a metrology specialist, provided over 1,800 measuring tools for use by individual competitors in almost a third of the competitions at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017. Among these tools were calipers; micrometers; indicators; height gauges and granite surface plates. Additional support in the form of coordinate measuring machines, complete with experienced Mitutoyo operators, were also made available to the manufacturing technology competitions.
